Living Joy’s purpose is to revive and nurture wellbeing in others through individualized body work, education and care that considers the whole person and honors the complexities of each individual.

Meet Val

Hi! I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), trauma-informed Yoga teacher (RYT-500) and the founder of Living Joy Massage and Yoga, LLC with a decade of experience as a body worker.  I found yoga and massage over 20 years ago, and have continually benefitted from both practices, ranging from injury recovery to stress management to increased overall wellbeing, and I'm grateful to be able to share those same benefits with others. The longer I'm in practice, the more I'm in awe of the body’s innate ability to repair and recover, and the way our nervous systems are involved in how we feel and how we heal. I'm passionate about how the body works and repairs as a whole, and approach each treatment with the full body and person in mind, blending modalities to achieve personalized, lasting ease and relief.

I teach group classes and private lessons. I specialize in stress and anxiety relief and I’m certified in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and trauma-informed. I offer safe, effective, individualized care that meets your needs. Whether you are looking for injury recovery, stress relief or to add a valuable addition to your selfcare maintenance  routine, Living Joy provides a space where you can find opportunities for greater wellness.

Meet Gaby

Hi! I’m a licensed massage therapist, certified by the state of Illinois. My journey into massage therapy began in 2022 with a genuine passion for helping others feel cared for, supported, and more connected to their bodies. What started as a calling has grown into deeply meaningful work that allows me to help people slow down, heal, and reconnect with themselves. Since then, I’ve continued expanding my education and training so I can offer thoughtful, personalized care to every client who comes to my table.

I specialize in women’s wellness massage, including prenatal, postnatal, fertility, and menopause support. I am also certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Advanced Lymphatic Therapy, as well as sports massage, myofascial release, and cupping therapy.

I believe healing is both physical and deeply personal. While I value science-based techniques and continued education, I also believe in the importance of human connection, intentional touch, and the calming energy that comes from feeling truly cared for. Every session is approached with compassion, intuition, and attention to your individual needs, creating a space where you can relax, restore, and feel supported exactly as you are.

It is truly an honor to do this work and to be part of my clients’ wellness journeys. Helping people create space for healing, rest, and renewal is something I hold close to my heart.

Meet Sue

Yoga is a place for Sue to connect to herself. Being able to set aside the to-do's and just spend time on her mat helps her feel grounded and present. She loves being a teacher and holding space for others on their mat to move, breathe, and let the practice be whatever it is they need that day. Sue is a 200 hour RYT, as well as certified in Yin, Restorative, Gentle, Prenatal/Postnatal, Childrens Yoga, and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
