Studio Policies
Thank you for reviewing the following guidelines and policies. The practice of yoga is ancient and sacred, and these have been designed to honor it, while keeping students feeling safe and supported in our small group setting. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Payment and Registration
· We have a five hour cancellation policy. Classes are pre-paid upon registration. If you need to cancel up to five hours before class begins, you can do so online and will receive a store credit to use at a later date.
· If you are sick or have recently been exposed to a serious contagious illness, please stay home (and feel better!). Our 5 hour cancellation policy is waived in cases of illness.
Class Guidelines
· Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to give yourself time to get settled. Class begins at the scheduled time and entry is not permitted more than 5 minutes after the start of class.
· Please leave your shoes in the cubby or at the door. Bare feet or socks only in the studio.
· You are welcome to use our mats and props free of charge. Please clean and put away any props you borrow for class. There is a mat spray in blue glass bottles and an anti-bacterial spray for cloth bolsters, blocks and blankets.
· No devices, including recording of the class or selfies. Please mute your phone entirely, as the buzz of a phone vibrating causes the same distraction as it does ringing. If you have an emergency situation, please inform the instructor. If the instructor would like to take a picture of the class for promotional use, you will be given the opportunity to opt out before it takes place.
· Generally, we suggest practicing on an empty or mostly empty stomach, and wearing comfortable clothing you can move easily in.
· We occasionally offer hands-on assistance to help you find the most stable, beneficial version of a pose. Our instructors will always ask permission before assuming they can use touch, and you are welcome to opt out at any time.
· If you have any injuries, conditions that may contraindicate certain movements, or other restrictions, please let the instructor know before class.
· No food or beverages. Water is allowed in sealed containers only. No cans or open cups, please.
· Although we encourage students to follow the instinct of their bodies and keep their practice their own, please follow the format of the class, including modifications as necessary. Doing a different practice during class may be distracting for other students in a small class setting.
· Please stay for the entire class.
